What you'd actually do

  1. Application of systems engineering processes to develop systems that meet customer requirements.
  2. Perform Systems Requirements analysis.
  3. Management of requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation
  4. Support preparations, execution, and resolution of major system design reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), etc.)
  5. Work with product teams in different disciplines and domains to ensure compliance.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.
  • A current/active U.S Government Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience with system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation.
  • Experience participating in major systems reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.
  • Experience working through the systems engineering process

Nice to have

  • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other related technical fields.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher with SAP Access and or SCI eligibility.
  • Electronic Warfare Technical Domain Knowledge
  • Strong Decision Making and Communication Skills
  • Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements and practices
  • Proficiency in requirements management and tools such as IBM DOORS, Cameo, Jira.
  • Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
  • Experience in the military aerospace development environment.
  • Experience effectively communicating and presenting complex technical concepts to project, program, and company management, other technical managers, and customers.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks/modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML, DoDAF, UPDM and/or UAF).
  • Familiarity with software programming languages (MATLAB, Python, et cetera) and writing software requirements.
  • Experience preparing work products associated with the System Engineering milestones (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
  • Experience with Navy customers and Radio Frequency Systems and Electronic Warfare.
