This role provides legal advice and counsel to the Azure Hardware and Systems Infrastructure division, focusing on cloud and AI infrastructure capacity to support customer AI transformation. The role involves managing negotiations and transactions related to hardware development, manufacturing, and supply chain, and advising on cutting-edge technology. It also includes evaluating process improvements and the development/deployment of AI tooling.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as one of the primary legal advisors for the Azure Hardware and Systems Infrastructure division.
  2. Identify and anticipate highly complex legal and/or other business issues.
  3. Serve as a key business partner and advisor to senior executives.
  4. Manage a wide variety of negotiations and transactions with unique IP and technology issues related to semiconductor and other hardware development, manufacturing and logistics, supply chain and procurement.
  5. Collaborate with specialists in trade, IP, and other CELA partners as needed to escalate and drive decisions.

Skills

Required

  • Juris Doctorate Degree or international equivalent degree
  • 4+ years' experience as a practicing attorney in the areas of IP and technology transactions
  • supply chain, manufacturing, logistics and procurement
  • related counseling to executive business leaders
  • Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction
