Netflix is seeking a Principal Counsel for M&A and Corporate Structuring Legal to join their Corporate Legal team. This role will focus on corporate legal matters related to intellectual property, including structuring, M&A, third-party finance agreements, and corporate strategy transactions. The candidate will partner with global content teams, corporate development, and the global tax team, acting as a business partner to guide decisions with legal and business impacts.

What you'd actually do

  1. work as part of the company’s M&A and corporate structuring legal team, a subgroup of the corporate legal team, headquartered in Los Angeles with an enterprise wide remit.
  2. partner closely with (i) our global content teams (both business and legal) to provide guidance with respect to corporate legal matters on bespoke and complex content deals and address third party finance matters including negotiating and drafting agreements with financiers and lenders, (ii) the corporate development team on M&A deal execution as well as integration efforts and (iii) the global tax team in connection with corporate structure matters across the business; and (iv) the broader corporate legal team across all areas as needed.
  3. be extremely comfortable working with various cross-functional stakeholders, learning quickly and efficiently with curiosity and making thoughtful decisions that have both legal and business impacts.
