Workday is seeking a Principal DataOps Engineer to optimize their cloud-based data platform by implementing CI/CD automation. This role involves leading a small team, coordinating with IT and Analytics Engineering, and establishing integrations for data workflows. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of DataOps/DevOps principles, experience managing data as a product, and a passion for automation and efficiency.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement and maintain DataOps CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable infrastructure and data product deployment, encompassing automated environment provisioning and management, testing, and linting stages.
  2. Implement and optimize monitoring and alerting systems, especially in CI/CD pipelines, to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  3. Configure ED&A’s data platform with industry best practices, robust security standards, & data governance.
  4. Collaborate across the organization, including with IT and Analytics Engineering.
  5. Implement test-driven development principles in CI/CD pipelines specialized to the data space.
