The Principal Developer Advocate will be the external face of AWS in ML hardware acceleration, focusing on AWS Trainium and the Neuron SDK. This role involves creating content, speaking at conferences, engaging with the ML developer community, and building partnerships to drive awareness and adoption of AWS's ML hardware solutions. The ideal candidate has a background in software engineering, ML research, or systems performance, with a passion for open-source AI and hardware-software co-design.

What you'd actually do

  1. Creating and maintaining relevant content (demos, videos, blogs, podcasts, livestreams, etc), covering AWS Trainium and the Neuron SDK along with emerging technologies and industry developments.
  2. Gaining industry recognition and credibility as a regular attendee and speaker at third party technology conferences, shows and press events.
  3. Curating, developing and delivering compelling presentations to help drive awareness and adoption of AWS Trainium.
  4. Maintaining a credible presence in social media
  5. Ability to travel (including internationally when needed) and ability to work autonomously

Skills

Required

  • Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
  • Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
  • Experience communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • 10+ years of Experience in software engineering, ML research, systems performance, or a related technical field
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks, tools, or infrastructure
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple initiatives across different technical communities
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations, workshops, or demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with at least one major programming language or technology platform

Nice to have

  • Experience speaking at industry conferences, user groups, or other public forums
  • Background in software development, cloud architecture, or enterprise technology solutions
  • Familiarity with content creation tools and platforms, including video production and social media
  • Experience working with open-source communities or contributing to open-source projects
