Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Digital Engineer or Sr. Principal Digital Engineer to join their Software and Digital Technologies Organization. The role involves designing, verifying, simulating, and testing FPGAs, utilizing modeling and simulation tools, developing test plans, and adhering to coding standards. Responsibilities include creating engineering change orders, performing analysis, supporting systems integration, leading on-site testing, and managing design constraints. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field, 5+ years of experience with VHDL, and experience with schematic and programmable logic tools. A Secret clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, verification, simulation and testing of FPGAs.
  2. Utilize modeling and simulation tools to expedite development and testing of firmware updates.
  3. Develop test plans and implement rigorous testing and validation processes for digital designs to ensure functionality, performance and security requirements are met.
  4. Adhere to coding standards, revision control practices, and peer review procedures.
  5. Conduct tests using high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, signal analyzers, and FPGA debugging tools, and analyze test data.
