What you'd actually do

  1. Produce video content in support of business and Communication priorities while reflecting company values and honoring the Northrop Grumman brand.
  2. Collaborate with the communications team and immediate team members to understand the creative vision for the communications team and objectives of each project.
  3. Proficient with the editing process, working with raw footage to assemble, refine, and finalize film content in support of but not limited to talent acquisition, marketing and advertising, product demonstrations and milestones, executive leadership events and social media.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of project timelines and deliver edited content within agreed-upon deadlines.
  5. Diligently protect and track raw footage and completed assets to safeguard proper handling of sensitive assets.

Skills

Required

  • Proven experience with photography.
  • Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, OR a related field with 5 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in capturing and editing video, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of editing styles and techniques.
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management systems and a deep understanding of media organization.
  • Excellent storytelling skills and a deep understanding of cinematic principles, pacing, and narrative structure.
  • Fluency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, and related creative tools involved in film making.
  • Keen attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of editing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make creative decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Proficient in After Effects, Illustrator, and creating motion graphics.
  • Drone pilot with a Part 107 license
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance is a plus.
  • Experience capturing and working with classified materials within government-restricted environments.
  • Marketing and/or agency experience a plus.
  • Experience experimenting with AI-generated visual elements (e.g., imagery, backgrounds, or simple animations) in a way that aligns with brand standards and ethics.
  • Experience with interacting and capturing video in an executive level leadership setting.
  • Proficiency in sound design and audio balancing.
