This role is for a Principal IT Architect focused on designing, supporting, and governing global End User Computing (EUC) device management platforms for over 50,000 endpoints. The vision is to transform the Digital Workplace through a Light IT Touch strategy, leveraging modern technology, automation, and analytics to improve user experiences, productivity, and reduce costs. Responsibilities include architecture design, stakeholder collaboration, technical leadership, innovation research, mentorship, documentation, risk management, and continuous improvement. Technical skills required include proficiency in endpoint management tools (Intune, Tanium, Jamf, Workspace ONE, AVD, Citrix), systems architecture, security best practices, scripting (PowerShell, Python), networking, virtualization, and cloud services. Specific requirements include US citizenship, 10+ years in IT with a focus on systems architecture/endpoint management, 7+ years specialized experience, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, PowerShell, Azure Automation, and SQL database management. Experience with cloud-connected endpoint strategy and automated provisioning is also necessary.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for creating and maintaining architectural frameworks that guide the design and development of technology solutions. This includes defining system architecture and standards for applications, infrastructure, and data management.
  2. Works closely with business leaders, project managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and objectives. This collaboration ensures that the solutions align with the strategic goals of the organization.
  3. Acts as the primary technical authority for projects, providing guidance and expertise throughout the solution development lifecycle. This may involve reviewing technical designs, approving solutions, and addressing any technical escalations or exceptions.
  4. Evaluates emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation. The Principal Solutions Architect is responsible for translating these insights into actionable strategies that enhance the organization’s technological capabilities.
  5. Provides mentorship to junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. This role may also involve leading architectural review boards or technical working groups.
