This role is for a Principal Engagement Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services. The primary responsibility is to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects for clients, bridging business requirements with technical solutions. The role involves technical leadership, project management, risk management, and ensuring successful implementation of AWS-based solutions. While the role operates within AWS and may touch upon AI services, its core function is project and solution delivery, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
  2. Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
  3. Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
  4. Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
  5. Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies

Nice to have

  • degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverle
