Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join their team in Palmdale, CA. The role involves performing metallic and composite structural analysis, including load paths, sizing, fittings, acoustics/vibration, structural integrity, and finite element modeling. Experience with specific tools like IMAT, IDAT, and PDM is desired. A Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 5 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis are required, along with the ability to obtain a US Government clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Metallic and Composite Structural Analysis Engineer position requires experience in metallic structural analysis methods and documentation, detailed analysis procedures, load paths, load distribution, sizing, fittings/fasteners/joints/splices, acoustics/vibration familiarity, structural integrity plan, design criteria, stability, crippling, durability analysis and finite element modeling of structure.
  2. Desired skills include familiarity with layout sizing, and structural integrity evaluations.
  3. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
