Principal Engineer Supplier Quality role at Northrop Grumman focused on ensuring high-quality parts from the supply chain. What you'd actually do

  1. Represent Northrop Grumman to the supply chain with credibility, confidence, and professionalism, and support the maintenance of the approved supplier list.
  2. Engage in Program activities to identify and quantify supplier performance as a proactive risk mitigation.
  3. Represent Supplier Performance Management (SPM) at various program reviews and review boards including but not limited to Configuration Control Board (CCB), Material Review Board (MRB), Program Management Reviews (PMR), Design/Peer Reviews, Manufacturing/Test Readiness Reviews and Corrective Action Board (CAB), Process improvement (CI), Supplier Product Readiness Review (SPRR), provide input to critical supplier scorecards.
  4. Perform Specification/Drawing Compliance Reviews, (FAIRs) First Article Inspections approvals per AS9102 to ensure suppliers can ship conforming and timely products, and support Receiving Inspection on various categories of hardware but not limited to (PWBs, CCAs, cables and connectors, microelectronics, electro-mechanical systems, and mechanical components & assemblies, etc.).
  5. Perform process and product audits along with capacity assessments to ensure the supplier's processes are robust and capable, as well as compliant with Military and Space requirements.
