This role is for a Principal Engineering CAD Administrator responsible for managing the Siemens Teamcenter CAD system, developing CAD standards, validating 3D models against engineering drawings, and automating processes. The role requires expertise in CREO and Teamcenter, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and compliance with ASME standards for manufacturing and quality engineering.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the CAD System (Teamcenter) database to ensure data accuracy as CAD Administrator
  2. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Engineering and Drafting for CREO and Teamcenter including coaching and mentoring
  3. Check 3D model design for compliance against Engineering drawings, or specifications, and verifying soundness of design, and capability of fit between components.
  4. Automate processes and standardize through workflows, templates, and other means.
  5. Provide administration for CAD software applications, resolving end user issues, and ensuring end user compliance to engineering modeling and drafting standards

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • 3 years PDM experience with Teamcenter or equivalent
  • 4 years CREO modeling experience
  • Proficient in Teamcenter administration and usage
  • Ability to create and read engineering drawings
  • Understanding of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and ASME Y14.10
  • Proficient in validating engineering models against 2D drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
