Principal Engineering Manager to set the technical direction for securing identities and AI agents on a unified platform. This role involves defining strategy, building teams, and delivering foundational capabilities for modern credentials, protocol modernization, post-quantum readiness, and next-generation secure AI and agentic systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and grow the team. Hire, develop, and retain a high-caliber engineering team, and turn senior engineers into technical leaders and future managers.
  2. Set the technical and product direction and be accountable for delivering secure systems that safely reasons over various invariants and principles.
  3. Set the bar for safe agentic engineering.
  4. Establish how the team designs, tests, and ships AI that must be correct, explainable, and reversible -hardening posture without breaking users.
  5. Build a team culture where reliability, security, and operational excellence are first-class.

Skills

Required

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to have

  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Experience in either identity, security systems or distributed systems at scale
