This role is for a Principal Engineering Program Manager focused on Generative AI within Adobe's Document Cloud. The primary responsibility is to drive feature development from ideation to implementation by fostering collaboration, managing programs through their full lifecycle, and ensuring smooth execution of GenAI initiatives. The role requires a deep understanding of GenAI core technologies and experience leading complex technical programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Skilled in developing and implementing plans for large-scale AI programs, guiding them through the full lifecycle of feature development, including hypothesis validation, fine-tuning, evaluations, velocity improvements, and other critical stages such as requirements gathering, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
  2. Maintain a comprehensive, technical end-to-end understanding of the solution under development and its upstream and downstream dependencies and impacts.
  3. Keep contributing teams unblocked by rapidly moving to resolve any issues that have the potential to impact the overall schedule.
  4. Define and drive the processes the GenAI Initiative will use to coordinate, communicate, and resolve cross-team issues.
  5. Facilitate cross-team collaboration and coordination to enhance overall project outcomes.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience
  • leading and mentoring other PGMs
  • influencing product strategy, slicing, and execution models for complex technical initiatives
  • Deep understanding of GenAI core technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and inference infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success leading GenAI feature creation from zero-to-one
  • managing multiple concurrent workstreams and features
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps and MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and service reliability for AI-powered systems.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale programs across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
