This role focuses on Sales Strategy & Programs, using market intelligence, modeling, and analytics to develop business insights for Zendesk's go-to-market organization. The Principal/Senior Sales Strategy Lead will analyze business performance, identify roadblocks, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership, partnering with various cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include identifying market potential, improving sales productivity, and leading analyses like TAM/SAM, propensity modeling, and market segmentation. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of experience in sales strategy or strategic analytics, understands SaaS sales models, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with sales leadership to develop and help drive Sales Strategy
  2. Lead analysis of business performance to identify future roadblocks and present strategic recommendations to GTM leadership for decision making and investment
  3. Lead cross-functional critical initiatives and link strategy to operations by partnering with key business partners including Product Marketing, Product Strategy, Sales Enablement, Sales Ops and Sales
  4. Identify untapped market potential, then develop and implement plans to capture it
  5. Work closely with sales ops to analyze and see opportunities for sales productivity improvement
