This role is for a Principal HR Business Partner at Amazon, focusing on the International Tax and Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) organizations. The position involves leading people strategy, organizational design, executive development, and HR excellence for globally dispersed functions. The role requires partnering with executive leaders, driving change management, providing leadership coaching, and leveraging data for HR priorities. What you'd actually do

  1. lead the people strategy for Amazon's International Tax and International Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) organizations
  2. partner directly with executive leaders across EMEA, APAC and the Americas to drive organizational design, executive development, and HR excellence at scale
  3. diagnose problems as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions
  4. leverage data to establish HR priorities and operating mechanisms to drive change
  5. demonstrate curiosity and hands-on adoption of AI tools and resources to enhance HR effectiveness, including using generative AI, HR analytics platforms, and automation to streamline people processes, improve data-driven decision-making, and scale HR impact across a distributed workforce

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and influencing colleagues, collaborators, and stakeholders
  • Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
  • Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel up to 5-20% of the time regularly throughout the assigned region and internationally
  • Extensive experience in an HR Business Partner role, preferably in a high-tech environment
  • Strong expertise and experience working with global teams, and driving organizational change initiatives and developing talent management plans for a global organization

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
  • Experience in the areas of management and leadership development, organization development, learning and development, group facilitation, training and training design, or equivalent business experience
