This role is for a Principal Implementation Consultant at Autodesk, focusing on construction industry solutions. The consultant will work with customers to implement, configure, and optimize Autodesk's design, engineering, and construction software. While the company develops AI technologies, this specific role is customer-facing and focused on implementing existing solutions, not developing AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with Autodesk's customers to implement construction solutions related to document management, data management, field workflows and handover/ turnover
  2. Analysis, improvement and implementation of processes and workflows
  3. Lead consulting engagements with customers, and document the value delivered during those engagements
  4. Apply Autodesk product sets to detailed industry requirements and workflows
  5. Configure solutions based on product capabilities and customer requirements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Five years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, with a focus on the delivery of digital solutions across a business enterprise
  • Experience of the following construction industry processes: Preconstruction / Document Management / Project Management / Quality Management / Safety Management / Handover / Work Packaging
  • Experience conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering presentations to teams and customers
  • Demonstrated abilities related to strategy, innovation, project management, change management, business process optimization, and communications
  • Experience guiding decisions and closing on issues
  • Experience working with diverse technical, sales, and project delivery teams
  • Know how to operate under structured project management
  • Can break down complex topics into a common language understandable by non-technical/business-oriented audiences

Nice to have

  • Autodesk product expertise (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Revit) and experience using them
  • Knowledge of competitor solutions in the construction industry
  • Advanced experience developing and allowing workflow processes between architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and owners
  • Experience developing and sustaining a digital delivery solution portfolio
  • Experience driving change at the enterprise level
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650
