Principal Industrial Engineer role focused on analyzing and optimizing operational processes using data analytics, developing metrics and visualizations, and building models for product flow optimization. What you'd actually do

  1. Utilizes Data Analytics to analyze existing operational processes and develop metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance.
  2. Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance.
  3. Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently.
  4. Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints.
  5. Develop optimized scheduling tools and align SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR master’s degree with 3 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience
  • Experience in designing visualizations in Tableau
  • Experience with Digital Transformation
  • Experience with time studies and capacity modeling
  • Experience with Process control methods (SPC/control charts)
  • Experience with Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)
  • Experience with Visio or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Experience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, or simulation methods
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Methods
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
