Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join their Test and Evaluation organization. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, and managing operating systems, Active Directory, and web applications. The position requires a Secret security clearance and experience with security monitoring tools like Splunk and Nessus.

What you'd actually do

  1. help design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures while actively identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities
  2. part of a team encompassing the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of operating system administration, Microsoft Configuration Manager, web app design, and security monitoring tools
  3. Demonstrable experience in the management of Windows Server and Desktop systems, including Microsoft Configuration Management (MCM) and PowerShell, as well as a high level of expertise in VMWare applications and management
  4. Proficiency in the administration of Atlassian, Coverity, and Fortify web applications, with a focus on the identification and resolution of performance issues
  5. Profound knowledge of access controls and comprehensive experience in utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SolarWinds to effectively detect and respond to security incidents

Required

  • STEM Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience, or Master's and 3 years, or PhD and 1 year
  • Current in scope DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • Current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
  • Windows Server and Desktop system management (MCM, PowerShell)
  • VMWare applications and management expertise
  • Active Directory Infrastructure management
  • Atlassian, Coverity, and Fortify web application administration
  • Knowledge of access controls
  • Experience with security monitoring tools (Splunk, Nessus, SolarWinds)
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and weekends
