This role is for a Principal Legal Counsel specializing in litigation related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Online Safety. The candidate will provide legal support for Apple's products and businesses, manage complex litigation, and advise on emerging issues in AI/ML and online safety, product liability, and consumer protection. The role requires significant experience in consumer class action or mass tort litigation and a strong interest in technology.

What you'd actually do

  1. formulating and driving strategy as well as working with a number of cross-functional teams and stakeholders across all product areas
  2. manage the day-to-day progress of complex litigation
  3. provide legal support for all our products and businesses
  4. handle artificial intelligence and machine learning and online safety advising and litigation with a focus on emerging issues, as well as product liability and consumer protection
  5. strategically run litigation matters from beginning to end and across cross-functional teams

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of consumer class action or mass tort litigation experience
  • JD or equivalent
  • Admission to at least one US state bar
  • Executive communication competencies
  • Strategic litigation management

Nice to have

  • Experience litigating and counseling artificial intelligence and machine learning, and online safety related disputes
  • Experience with litigation consultants and testifying experts
  • Strong technology interest and aptitude
  • Meaningful trial and/or arbitration experience
  • Excellent executive and collaborative communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills
