Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Linux Systems Administrator with a Secret clearance to support classified government contracts in Chandler, AZ. Responsibilities include Linux system administration, maintenance, security, patching, monitoring, and documentation. The role requires experience with Linux operating systems and adherence to strict information security guidelines. Candidates must meet or be able to obtain IAT Level II certification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform as a Principal Computer Systems Analyst - Linux in support of classified government contracts.
  2. Able to support multiple networks, ensuring necessary Linux administration tasks are completed; coordinating with others as necessary, working under minimal direction.
  3. Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems working with system engineers, PC desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management.
  4. Maintain and provide reliability of systems through installation, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  5. Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).

Skills

Required

  • Linux Operating Systems support experience
  • Linux Workstation and Server management experience
  • U.S. Government 8140 requirements for IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Secret level security clearance

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • Security+ CE, Linux+ or RHCSA certification
  • 6 years of Linux Server Administration experience in a classified environment
  • Basic networking understanding (subnets, routing, VLANs)
  • Cisco experience and/or certification
  • Windows server management experience
  • Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare knowledge
  • SAN storage systems knowledge
  • VMWare experience with current version
  • Environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk)
  • Rudimentary Scripting experience
  • Experience with creation and deployment of system images
  • Experience with Certification & Accreditation process
  • Experience operating under NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF
