This role is for a Principal Manufacturing Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on the evaluation, repair, and upgrade of sustainment systems. Responsibilities include managing schedules, collaborating with various departments and suppliers, identifying and resolving workflow issues, managing material procurement, analyzing lead times, and providing reporting on repair and monthly metrics. The role requires experience with MRP/ERP systems, MS Office (Excel), leadership, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. It is not directly related to AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and provide schedule status visibility to program management, manufacturing, and operations program management
  2. Collaborate/communicate with suppliers, MRP group, manufacturing, program management, engineering, procurement, quality, and operations management to ensure performance metrics are met (schedule, quality, cost, delivery, etc.)
  3. Identify and resolve issues with multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of workflow and adherence to customer schedules
  4. Determine stock availability, assess material source (in-house vs external) and requirements for non-standard parts, and create acquisition requests
  5. Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field, Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field, 9 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience using MRP/ERP business system
  • Experience in MS Office suite with emphasis on strong Excel/data analysis skills
  • Experience in leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles
  • Experience effectively managing changing/conflicting priorities and resolving appropriately in a challenging environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required

Nice to have

  • APICS/ASCM CPIM certification
  • Prior production or repair planning experience
  • Experience working within a Depot environment supporting various DOD and commercial customers
  • Northrop Grumman tools related to job function (SAP, GOLD, ISE, Cadstar)
