Principal Network Development Engineer focused on designing and supporting network fabric and systems for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Requires deep understanding of networking protocols and programming skills for automation in a cloud-scale environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale, global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI)
  2. Participates in network solution and architecture design process. Responsibility for developing standalone features.
  3. Responsible for decomposing designs into executable tasks and executing those tasks (will primarily use existing procedures and tools to develop and execute); collaborate with program/project managers to develop milestones and deliverables.
  4. Participate in operational rotations as either primary or secondary. Provide break-fix support for events and serve as escalation point for remediation; participate in post-event root cause analysis.
  5. Collaborate with network vendor technical account team and internal Quality Assurance team to drive bug resolution and assist in the qualification of new firmware and/or operating systems. May participate in the development of RFQ/RFPs.
