Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman · Aerospace · El Segundo, CA +1 · Electrical

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Electronics Engineer – Network Architect to design resilient network topologies for connecting C2E systems to tactical, enterprise, and cloud environments. Responsibilities include VPN, SD-WAN, TACLANE, QoS, and rapid-deployment networking kits, with a focus on reliability, security, and performance optimization for mission success. The role requires experience with secure network design for defense/aerospace, IPsec VPNs, SD-WAN, TACLANE, network monitoring, and producing deployment guides. A DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design the network topology and connectivity plan for a portable C2 demo including VPN, SD-WAN, and TACLANE integrations.
  2. Ensure network security zones align with the Infrastructure & Security Lead’s policies and support BLOS communications with simulated aircraft.
  3. Define bandwidth, latency, and QoS requirements to meet real-time performance of application software.
  4. Support the two-person deployment process by providing rapid-setup networking kits and documentation.
