This role is for a Principal or Sr. Principal Computer System Architect at Northrop Grumman, focusing on supporting and troubleshooting software/hardware systems within complex IT environments. Responsibilities include scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), managing various operating systems (Windows, Solaris, VMware), and implementing virtualized infrastructures. A Top Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users as well as engineering technical support for teams.
  2. Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts.
  3. Engineer and test new technical solutions in lab environments, technical requirements and/or bug fixes
  4. Develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell scripts, Bash and Python scripts, and Microsoft Group Policies
  5. Work with storage systems and basic networking, Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware ESXi, Vmware, and vCenter

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience (Principal) OR 8 years (Sr. Principal)
  • DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
  • Demonstrated experience with VMware
  • U.S. Citizen with Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance OR active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access

Nice to have

  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance
  • Active DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification.
  • Mission Planning experience
  • Familiarity with storage systems and basic networking, Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware ESXi, VMware, and vCenter
