Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer with experience in designing, integrating, and testing RADAR systems. The role involves system integration, verification and validation, technical requirements development, supplier management, risk management, and troubleshooting. Requires a STEM degree, relevant engineering experience, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead or support system integration activities; Coordinate with program teams to integrate radar system elements, components and end to end functionality, addressing integration risks and enabling early and continuous system integration.
  2. Develop and execute verification and validation plans; Participate in the creation and execution of approaches for verifying and validating radar system integration requirements, ensuring the system meets mission objectives and customer needs.
  3. Contribute to technical requirements and supplier management; Help develop technical requirements for the radar system and ensure suppliers meet these requirements, including monitoring and evaluating supplier technical performance.
  4. Support design maturation and risk management; Manage capabilities and margins throughout the design process, provide technical input on risks, issues, and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain system performance and integrity.
  5. Produce and maintain technical documentation; Prepare clear technical documentation such as design specifications, test plans, and reports to support the development lifecycle and program objectives

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree
  • 5 years of related engineering experience (Principal) or 8 years (Sr. Principal)
  • Professional experience integrating Sensors or Comms payload assets including physical, environmental and logical interface definition
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance OR active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR)
