As a Principal Platform Software Engineer, you will play a major role in designing and implementing Nitro’s core platform capabilities. You will work closely with architects, product leaders, and partner engineering teams to turn AI application needs into practical, production-ready platform features.
This role requires strong platform engineering experience, sound technical judgment, and hands-on familiarity with modern AI and LLM application patterns. You will contribute to architecture, lead implementation of complex features, mentor engineers, and help establish reusable standards for building AI-enabled applications across GIU.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical owner who can operate independently, collaborate across teams, and balance rapid AI innovation with durable engineering practices.
- Design, build, and maintain key platform capabilities for AI-assisted application development.
- Implement scalable and reliable services, APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns for GIU partner teams.
- Contribute to AI harness capabilities including LLM integration, prompt workflows, evaluation support, agentic patterns, and reusable AI components.
- Partner with architects and senior engineers to shape technical designs and ensure alignment with Nitro’s platform direction.
- Work with GIU partner teams to understand use cases, remove adoption friction, and deliver reusable platform solutions.
- Apply strong engineering practices around testing, observability, performance, security, CI/CD, and operational readiness.
- Lead complex feature development from design through delivery, including technical documentation and production support.
- Mentor engineers on platform engineering, AI application development, code quality, and maintainable design.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and developer tooling for practical use within our platform.
- Help improve engineering standards, implementation patterns, and developer experience across the platform.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
