This Principal Platform Software Engineer role focuses on designing and implementing backend services and APIs for AI-native applications, hosted agents, and enterprise workflow automation. The role involves building integrations across various agent components, developing secure patterns for tool execution and approval flows, and partnering with product teams to convert business workflows into agentic solutions. The engineer will also improve the reliability and scalability of AI solutions and support customer-facing AI initiatives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement backend services and APIs for AI-native applications, hosted agents, and enterprise workflow automation.
  2. Build integrations across agent runtimes, MCP servers, tools gateway, identity systems, guardrails, and Oracle service APIs.
  3. Develop secure patterns for tool execution, policy checks, human approval flows, audit traces, and action validation.
  4. Partner with AI Services, Data Platform, Console AI, Support, Retail, Fusion, and other product teams to convert business workflows into production-ready agentic solutions.
  5. Help modernize existing AI services using Agent One, MCP enablement, reusable tools, and shared platform capabilities.
