Principal Product Manager

UiPath UiPath · Enterprise · Bangalore, India · Product

Principal Product Manager at UiPath to own a platform layer powering agentic automation. This role involves setting vision, owning the roadmap, collaborating with engineering on technical design, engaging with customers, and driving go-to-market strategies. The focus is on building foundational layers for agents, processes, and workflows, including data fabric and human-in-the-loop components, ensuring they are agent-ready and production-adopted.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the vision and roadmap for your platform layer, making sharp tradeoff decisions on complex, ambiguous problems, and proposing a clear path forward rather than just surfacing the ambiguity.
  2. Drive go-to-market. Partner with marketing and sales on positioning, enablement, and demos; create demand and get your wins in front of the field and customers.
  3. Be the customer's champion. Engage directly in account conversations, get deep into real scenarios, and turn what you learn into validated use cases and roadmap decisions.
  4. Own outcomes end to end. Take accountability from problem definition through launch, adoption, and the metrics that prove value (e.g. production adoption, task success rate, agent reliability).
  5. Get technical. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering on design decisions, dogfood the product yourself, and stay credible on the underlying technology.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of product management on technical/platform/developer products, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Experience shipping infrastructure that other builders rely on.
  • Experience prototyping and dogfooding.
  • Technical depth to go deep on technical design with engineering and be comfortable in the product yourself.
  • Experience building or integrating AI/ML into live products.
  • Experience using LLM-based tools (copilots, coding agents, prototyping tools).
  • Experience building products for and with agents.
  • Experience seeking out direct customer conversations and letting real scenarios drive what you build.
  • Experience creating demand and driving adoption.
  • Clear 'why' and 'what' story to any audience.
  • Crisp, decision-rich communication.
  • Ability to influence across engineering, design, sales, and marketing without authority.
  • Bias to ownership and action; driving ambiguous, high-stakes problems to a result with minimal direction.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data platforms, knowledge graphs/semantic/ontology layers, or human-in-the-loop/workflow systems.
  • Experience building or shipping products in the agentic/AI space.
  • Background that combines engineering and product.

What the JD emphasized

  • Own the vision and roadmap
  • Drive go-to-market
  • Be the customer's champion
  • Own outcomes end to end
  • Get technical
  • Make it agent-ready
  • 8+ years of product management
  • A builder's instinct
  • Technical depth
  • Hands-on with AI, not conceptual
  • A genuine customer-champion mindset
  • GTM drive
  • Bias to ownership and action

Other signals

  • Own the vision and roadmap for your platform layer, making sharp tradeoff decisions on complex, ambiguous problems, and proposing a clear path forward rather than just surfacing the ambiguity.
  • Make it agent-ready. Translate the fast-moving agent landscape (LLMs, coding agents, orchestration frameworks, MCP, evals) into a coherent UiPath point of view and a shipping product.
  • Hands-on with AI, not conceptual. You have built or integrated AI/ML into live products yourself, and you use LLM-based tools (copilots, coding agents, prototyping tools) in your own daily work. Building products for - and with - agents is a fundamental expectation.
