Principal Product Manager for Finance Applications at Workday, focusing on defining and driving an AI-first strategy for the finance application ecosystem. This role involves orchestrating Workday's product suite, custom innovations, and third-party technologies to build an intelligent financial platform by embedding intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and generative AI. The PM will define roadmaps, design digital and agentic finance experiences, lead product lifecycles, mentor a team, partner with leadership, and influence the finance product roadmap. Requires significant experience in product management, launching AI/ML-powered products, and ERP/finance domain expertise.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect and champion a long-term product roadmap for our Finance Application ecosystem, centered on AI and Machine Learning.
  2. Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for initiatives in finance, from ideation and business case development to defining requirements, and measuring ROI.
  3. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product managers. Foster an AI-centric approach, encouraging continuous learning, rapid experimentation, and a deep understanding of how to responsibly build and deploy intelligent systems.
  4. Serve as the lead advisor to leadership on the art of the possible with AI in Finance. Translate sophisticated financial challenges into solvable problems and articulate a clear vision that secures consensus and drives cross-functional alignment.
  5. Partner closely with Workday's product teams to influence the future finance product roadmap. Proactively lead release cycles to not only adopt new features but to be a leading voice in their creation and application.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on shipping enterprise-level, technology-powered products in a B2B or SaaS environment.
  • 5+ years of direct experience leading and launching AI/ML-powered products.
  • 5+ years of ERP implementation domain expertise in core finance and accounting processes (such as Sourcing,Invoicing & Billing ) with best practices and a vision for how AI can fundamentally transform them.
  • Managing a finance roadmap through strategic collaboration with Business stakeholders and Product & Technology (P&T) teams.
  • Lead user stories and manage story slotting to ensure alignment with defined sprint cycles and delivery timelines.
  • Shown experience Leading high-performing agile product teams.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into concrete product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience communicating complex technical concepts and product strategies to senior executives.
  • Familiarity with AI technology stack, including MLOps, data pipelines, and foundational models (LLMs).

Nice to have

  • Consistent record to successfully integrate ERP systems (preferably Workday) with other enterprise applications and data platforms
  • Workday Financials certification(s) (e.g., FDM, Core Financials, Adaptive Planning) are highly preferred.
