Principal Product Manager, Smart Home Security – Systems Integration

AT&T AT&T · Telecom · Dallas, TX

This role focuses on the end-to-end technical integration of a smart home security product within AT&T's existing ecosystem, ensuring seamless customer experiences for sales, ordering, billing, provisioning, authentication, and support. The Principal Product Manager will own the integration architecture, translate customer journeys into technical requirements, and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure production readiness and successful launches.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the product’s integration architecture, including end‑to‑end system maps, data flows, and dependencies.
  2. Translate customer journeys (buy → install → bill → support) into clear technical requirements and specs for engineering teams.
  3. Act as the primary technical partner for cross‑functional teams including Sales, Billing, Fulfillment, and Care.
  4. Ensure integrations are production‑ready by partnering with engineering and operations and tracking key technical performance metrics.
  5. Lead integration impact assessments and end‑to‑end testing for new features, bundles, promotions, and entitlement changes.

  • Ability to read and discuss API specifications, sequence diagrams, system architecture diagrams, data models, and mapping tables (such as SKUs, service codes, and entitlements).
  • Experience leading cross‑system integration projects that involve multiple organizations and legacy platforms.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to act as a “translator” between business, product, and highly technical teams.
