This role is for a Principal Production Master Scheduler & Planner at Northrop Grumman, focusing on planning and sequencing manufacturing operations for spacecraft production. Responsibilities include managing work orders, analyzing variances, performing risk analysis, understanding manufacturing capacity, tracking material shortages, and coordinating material flow. What you'd actually do

  1. Perform work order variance analysis and review MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information, reconciles supply and demand, validates master scheduling requirement.
  2. Performs risk analysis, identifying and resolving critical path and MRP logic conflicts.
  3. Analyzes risks to identified solutions and bottlenecks, including forward and reverse scheduling methods, for schedule recovery.
  4. Planner must understand manufacturing capacity and allocate as required to meet build plan commitments. Expedites and reschedules open purchase orders to suit production-planning requirement.
  5. Create and release manufacturing orders based on bill-of-materials and configuration. Close work orders after sub-assemblies, ensure assemblies and integration are complete.
