This role is for a Principal Production Operations position at Northrop Grumman, focusing on managing manufacturing and development efforts, including budgets, schedules, and technical performance. The candidate will interface with various teams to ensure hardware modules are built within cost and schedule. It requires experience in project management, supply chain, or operations, with strong Excel and MRP knowledge. A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. manage to a line of balance, oversee and/or guide root cause and corrective actions to closure.
  2. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  3. responsible for interfacing with technical leadership, program management, engineering, production control, global supply chain, and production supervisors to ensure hardware modules are built within cost and budget while meeting operation build schedules.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience that includes a background in project management, supply chain, mathematics, engineering, operations or business. 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Microsoft Office applications to include advanced skills using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Strong Excel skills to include utilization of Pivot Tables.
  • MRP Knowledge: gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and MES Systems.
  • managing Integrated Master Schedules and overall hardware status
  • reading engineering documentation, BOM Structures, and PLM tools
  • project leadership and/or process improvement
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
  • Ability to maintain clearance - Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
  • US Citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with EVMS processes, baseline forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and Control Account Management (CAM) experience
  • Experience gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and Solumina Systems.
  • Experience with presentation skills to senior leadership.
  • SharePoint experience.
  • Experience with Tableau and Solumina systems.
