The Principal Production Operations role at Northrop Grumman focuses on managing and executing the manufacturing strategy for development programs. What you'd actually do

  1. Acts as the primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
  2. Acts as primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customer to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance.
  3. Oversees and manages the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serves as primary liaison to program management.
  4. Assesses project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives.
  5. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; OR a Master's degree in Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field with 3 or more years of relevant work experience in Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience creating, maintaining and manipulating Microsoft Office Suite Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Experience working in a multi-team environment.
  • Experience facilitating customer and stakeholder engagements and meetings.
  • Experience interfacing and presenting to multiple levels of employees and leadership.

  • Experience in any or all of the following: Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, either in individual contributor or management roles.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management (RSKOM).
