Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) to support the Material Cost Management organization. The role involves implementing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs), ensuring compliance with DOD EVMS guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing month-end reports, developing and reviewing Estimates at Completion (EACs), incorporating changes into the EVMS system, and assisting CAMs with EVMS activities such as WBS alignment, time phasing, performance measurement, and variance analysis. The analyst will also support cost and schedule reviews, identify pressures and opportunities, and develop recovery plans. A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, or financial analysis is required, along with an active DoD Secret clearance and working knowledge of EVMS with ERP subcontract experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and business systems like SAP or Cobra is also necessary.

What you'd actually do

  1. This position will provide assistance and guidance to support the implementation of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs), while ensuring compliance to DOD EVMS guidelines and the Autonomous Systems Division EVM System.
  2. The analyst will be responsible for preparing month-end reports; developing and reviewing EAC's; incorporation of changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain Major Subcontract/GP cost and schedule baselines.
  3. The analyst will assist CAMs for EVMS activities including: WBS alignment, time phasing of the tasks, developing and documenting earned value methodologies, monthly performance measurement, estimate to complete analysis and updates, and variance analysis research and reporting.
  4. Support monthly cost and schedule reviews, identify pressures and opportunities, and develop recovery plans as required.
  5. Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and perform and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, and/or industry related fields OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or industry related fields.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of EVMS with ERP subcontract experience.
  • Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Business Systems such as SAP, and/or Cobra, etc.

Nice to have

  • Financial forecasting and/or material accounting experience.
  • Experience with Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution (GPD).
