This role supports Firm Fixed Price (FFP) production programs, providing financial support and analysis. Responsibilities include preparing budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, and performing Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks such as WBS development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis, and estimates to complete. The role interfaces with program managers, functional management, and business managers to ensure contracts meet financial requirements and government cost control guidelines.

What you'd actually do

  1. The PCA will monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
  2. This will include performing perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development, and analysis of estimates to complete.
  3. The PCA will perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines, including maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
  4. The PCA will interface with the program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements.
  5. They will prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experience
  • Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis
  • Experience with financial forecasting
  • Strong PC skills - specifically Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting)

Nice to have

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Experience with COGNOS, SAP or related field
  • Experience with COBRA, ERP2
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement baseline concepts and ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs and control accounts.
