This role is for a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst in the defense industry, focusing on financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, and Earned Value Management (EVM) for government contracts. It requires experience with financial analysis and reporting, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Set up cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  2. Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding and negotiation support
  3. Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  4. Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development and analysis of estimates to complete

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Nice to have

  • Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
