This role is for a Principal Program Manager at GE Healthcare, focusing on the IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) ecosystem and digital platform roadmap. The primary responsibility is to lead cross-functional teams in executing programs from idea to launch, ensuring alignment with product strategy, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. The role involves managing backlogs, driving predictable execution using Agile methodologies, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards within the healthcare industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own a single, prioritized IoMT portfolio backlog and integrated execution roadmap, facilitating tradeoff decisions across scope, timing, dependencies, and resources.
  2. Drive program execution from idea to launch through clear milestones, KPIs, action tracking, and leadership-ready reporting.
  3. Establish and sustain standard operating rhythms, dashboards, and portfolio hygiene to enable data-driven decisions and predictable delivery.
  4. Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), Phased Review Discipline (PRD), and applicable regulatory requirements across markets.
  5. Lead and align global, cross-functional core teams (Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Service) to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in product development or program management
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience leading complex product development and/or software programs in a cross-functional environment.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience utilizing Agile and Lean delivery methods, metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule with three days per week on-site at the GE HealthCare office located in Waukesha, Wisconsin
  • Demonstrated flexibility in approach to work hours, and willingness to partner with and accommodate global teams and schedules
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated expertise in edge computing, cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred), distributed systems, or IoT/IoMT platforms.
  • PMP certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean processes and tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive daily execution and burn down of critical tasks needed to meet the program timelines.

  • Extensive experience in managing NPI Programs within the Healthcare industry (from concept to product release), including in depth understanding of regulated medical device product development processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate, and drive decisions across technical and business stakeholders.
