Workday Government LLC seeks a Principal Program Manager to drive large-scale, complex, cross-functional technical initiatives for their Federal business, collaborating with executive leadership and technology teams on engineering, security, and operations for enterprise growth. The TPM will coordinate critical initiatives, manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and combine strong program management with technical fluency to engage engineering and provide clear executive insights.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years in technical program management (engineering or TPM) on visible, large-scale, cross-functional federal/public sector initiatives.
  • 5+ years experience leading SaaS development, migrations, and business/compliance/process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, cloud environments, system architecture, and security.
  • Proven ability to manage dependencies, risks, priorities, and timelines across multiple teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with technical, non-technical, executive teams, partners, and customers.

Nice to have

  • Experience working independently to design, plan, and execute technical projects; able to distill data and articulate rationale for making difficult trade-offs
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of a complex cross-functional program with considerable impact
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in SaaS or platform engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience in regulated/compliance-driven environments (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC, SOC 2).
  • PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications.
  • Experience with Jira/Conf
