This role is for a Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on developing and managing integrated master plans and schedules for programs. The analyst will ensure horizontal and vertical integration across functional groups, perform risk analysis, and track progress using project management techniques like Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and earned value management (EVM). The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and basic understanding of Microsoft Project. Experience with EVMS, Deltek Cobra, Deltek Acumen Risk, and knowledge of DCMA health metrics are preferred. A U.S. government Secret Clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
  2. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
  3. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
  4. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience OR a Master's Degree with 3 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience OR Associate's Degree with 7 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience
  • Scheduling and planning experience
  • Experience with EVMS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Project
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
