Principal Project Engineer role at Northrop Grumman focused on managing technical projects through all manufacturing readiness level phases, from concept development to full production operations and sustainment. What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for managing technical projects (planning & execution) including accountability for cost, schedule & performance through all phases and execution of transition-to-production activities.
  2. Manage product line sustainment activities including design maintenance (drawing packages), obsolescence reviews, and incorporation of changes into manufacturing.
  3. Coordinate/lead multi-disciplined teams to solve complex technical problems (design and/or manufacturing related) or to make improvements to products or processes.
  4. Support or lead proposals to provide quotes to internal or external customers.
  5. Directly support various Program Managers and customers as the technical focal point for Salt Lake City activity including program risk.

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree
  • minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (or Master's with 3 years)
  • Broad based engineering experience across multiple disciplines
  • Experience planning and executing complex technical projects
  • Experience presenting data and coordinating with senior program and operations leadership
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance
