Principal/Sr. Principal Project Manager for Northrop Grumman's Restricted Programs Operating Unit, supporting advanced missions and cutting-edge technology programs from development through production. Requires experience in program reporting, budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder coordination, with a strong emphasis on Earned Value Management (EVM) and adherence to government contracts. Requires a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serves as liaison between Program management and planning, technical leads, and functional management.
  2. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  3. Assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  4. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.
  5. Working side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads on all program reporting and executive level presentations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years' or a master's degree with 3 years of relevant professional experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or project management activities.
  • Demonstrated use of MS Office Suite applications, including Excel for data analysis, tracking and reporting; Word for formal documentation, PowerPoint for executive and customer/stakeholder briefings, and MS project for schedule development and tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience applying business and financial management principles supporting program or project execution, including cost account management, financial tracking, forecasting or performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating work across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams supporting project and program deliverables.
  • Experience supporting Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including risk identification, tracking, mitigation planning, or reporting.
  • Experience supporting monitoring and control of program plans, cost and schedule baselines to support contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations/deliverable.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) and ability to obtain special access clearances upon starting.
