This role is for a Principal ProServe Cloud Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The architect will work with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions. They will be a key player in the sales process, providing technical expertise and guidance, and acting as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies. The role involves creating and leading solution designs to achieve customer business outcomes, collaborating with sales and delivery teams, and sharing knowledge within the organization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions, estimates, and proposals to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs)
  2. Providing technical guidance and best practices during the sales and implementation phases
  3. Collaborating with Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable
  4. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
  5. Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Skills

Required

  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies

Nice to have

  • degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
  • Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
