This role is for a Principal ProServe Cloud Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Financial Services team. The primary focus is on designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions for customers, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting the pre-sales process. The role involves collaborating with sales and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet customer business outcomes and exceed satisfaction expectations. While the role involves understanding emerging technologies and innovative solutions, its core function is cloud architecture and customer engagement, not direct AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs)
  2. Providing technical guidance and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases
  3. Collaborating with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable
  4. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
  5. Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Skills

Required

  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies

Nice to have

  • degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
  • Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
  • Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
  • Experience explaining technical concepts in pre-sales environments
