This role is for a Principal Quality Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on developing and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems for products and processes. The analyst will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, devise testing procedures, perform statistical analysis, audit quality systems, and lead the resolution of nonconformances. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing, knowledge of data analytics and statistical methods, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. Experience with quality management systems like ISO9001 or AS9100 and certified auditing are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  2. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  3. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  4. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests; and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  5. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or contracts; or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or contracts; or 9 years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of Wide Area Work Flow
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques
  • Experience mentoring employees
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • US Citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Experience in at least one of the following standards (IPC, J-Std, MIL-STD)
  • Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System and AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Certified auditor
  • Experience Facilitating RCCAs with technical groups
  • SAP Experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Minitab or equivalent tools for statistical analysis
