Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

AT&T AT&T · Telecom · Alpharetta, GA

The Principal Quality Assurance Engineer role at AT&T focuses on designing and implementing comprehensive test cases for backend systems (OrderGraph, Neo, RTB) related to customer orders, service activation, and billing for Wi-Fi Hub Devices. The role involves end-to-end testing, defect documentation, automation strategy development, and collaboration with various teams to ensure product quality and successful customer experiences. While the role is within the 'AIA Product team', the core responsibilities are in traditional QA and testing of business processes, not in building or directly managing AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement comprehensive test cases that cover all critical business scenarios, including customer order validation, service activation, suspension, resumption, and termination processes involving Wi-Fi Hub Devices.
  2. Thoroughly document and report any application defects encountered during testing.
  3. As part of the AIA Product team, validate customer orders with Hub Devices in the OrderGraph Application to ensure successful activation in Neo and proper monthly billing through RTB.
  4. Use testing techniques and design, develop, and analyze test plans and strategies.
  5. Develop automation strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and the consistency of regression tests.
