The Principal/Quality Engineer at Northrop Grumman is responsible for developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems. What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  2. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  3. Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  4. Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests; and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  5. Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (STEM)
  • Experience working with TipQa, MES, and CostPoint software
  • Experience investigating failures and identifying root cause on flight hardware.
  • Able to implement Kaizan strategies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
