What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and initiate Defect Reports or Non-conformance Material Review to ensure non-conforming materials are properly quarantined, controlled, and dispositioned.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure documentation of proper technical and logical reasoning and justification when resolving quality issues and overseeing change control.
  3. Lead process improvement, corrective actions and preventive efforts to minimize re-occurrence of non-conformances.
  4. Lead/participate in specific programs and projects to provide solutions to technical issues.
  5. Audits manufacturing processes to ensure they meet Product Specification Requirements and Process Parameters.

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master's degree with 3 years or PhD with 1 year
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance
  • 3 years of engineering experience in a quality, R&D, and/or manufacturing environment

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working with machined parts, composites, and assembly in a Spacecraft Final Integration environment
  • Experience using Solumina, Cape, and Maufacturo
  • Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
  • Current and active DOD/SSBI security clearance
