Principal Risk Associate

This role focuses on establishing and executing a sustainable policy program within Enterprise Risk Management, aiming to govern and improve the quality of policy documents across the organization. The Principal Risk Associate will partner with stakeholders to develop, implement, and drive adherence to the program, acting as a liaison between business areas and the Corporate Policy Office. Key responsibilities include reviewing policy documents, conducting effective challenge, monitoring adherence, analyzing policy management data, and developing training materials. The role requires strong skills in customer focus, results focus, problem solving, and communication, with experience in audit, quality assurance, or risk management, and process/project management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to the development and execution of a sustainable policy program to govern and improve the quality of policy documents across the Enterprise
  2. Engage in the review of policy documents and partner with policy stakeholders to drive consistency and improve content in policy documents
  3. Conduct effective challenge on policy documents at various stages in the policy management lifecycle
  4. Conduct adherence monitoring to evaluate adherence to the enterprise policy program and the effectiveness of adherence practices within respective policy documents
  5. Support analyzing policy management data to identify risks, process improvements, and areas for increased training

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of audit, quality assurance or risk management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
  • At least 1 year of experience in process or project management
