This role is a Principal Sales Specialist for Analytics at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The primary focus is on driving revenue and market share by helping customers leverage AWS analytics and AI/ML services to achieve their business goals. The role involves strategic planning, customer education, solution crafting with specialized architects, and managing the sales process. While the role involves understanding and articulating the value of AI/ML solutions (like Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker), the core responsibility is sales and business development, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory.
  2. Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  3. Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
  4. Develop working backwards analytics visions including business case and financial justification, potentially gleaned from earnings reports.
  5. Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS analytics services.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • 7+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans
